Malaga is the capital of the Costa del Sol and is located in the south of the Peninsula Iberica. Belonging to the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, bathed by the Sea Mediterranean. Located in the heart of Andalusia, between the provinces of Granada and Cadiz. Easy access by land, sea and air.

Malaga-Costa del Sol is located in the heart of Andalusia and is easily accessible from any point in Spain and Europe, whether by air, train or highway.

Air

The Malaga Pablo Ruiz Picasso International Airport is the fourth largest airport in Spain and is currently undergoing an expansion with a series of improvements which include the new passenger terminal and a second runway that will give the airport the capacity to handle more than 20 million passengers a year, which without a doubt highlights the importance of Malaga-Costa del Sol as a tourist destination.

The airport is situated 8 km from the centre of the city of Malaga and only 46 km from Marbella and has direct flights to all the principal European capitals, which makes it easily accessible from any part of Spain, Europe and the rest of the world.

Train

The new Malaga Viala: María Zambrano train station, inaugurated in November of 2006 with the opening of a novel shopping and leisure centre has the capacity to handle up to 24 million travellers a year, eight times more than the old station, since it is equipped with five platforms and eight tracks, five of them for the high speed Madrid-Malaga line that connects both cities in less than three hours.

Automobile/Bus

The province of Malaga is connected by a large network of expressways and divided highways, linked with the rest of the provinces. A wide network of buses connects Malaga-Costa del Sol with the rest of the Andalusian, Spanish and European cities.
